I was recently contacted by a lovely lady who was working with the Gayndah Shire Council asking for our help to identify and locate several lost graves and the identification plates that showed who was buried where. We happily attended and donated our services to assist with this project. We recovered numerous of the identification plates and also were able to locate the lost graves of 5 babies and identified the location of dozens of the unmarked graves. It was a very fulfilling experience and a pleasure to be a part of this great project to restore the locations of these poor souls and have them identified for the relatives and friends of these folk to be able to come and spend time with their lost ancestors. Some of these graves dated back to the mid 1800's and included pioneers of the region.
